Bacteria Inquiry

Picture
Bacteria.  It is everywhere.  You can't see bacteria without a powerful microscope, but over 100 trillion bacteria are found in your body alone!  That doesn't even begin to include the billion of bacteria found on everything else.  Even crazier is the ability of bacteria to live pretty much anywhere from extremely hot ocean vents to the soil and other organisms.  Bacteria consume energy, develop, and reproduce just like any other living organism, but at a fraction of the size.  In this introduction unit we will grow and examine bacteria found at TuHS!
