Project Based Learning

PictureEdutopia
Project based learning is not a new instruction approach in education.  However, it does seem to have gained popularity lately.  By asking real questions, students work to solve real, relevant problems while also learning the necessary material.  Additionally, project based learning provides students opportunities to develop teamwork, communication, and technology skills, all of which are a necessity in the 21st century.  In combing proficiency based assessment and project based learning, students are able to examine real relevant questions that affect their daily lives.
