Sea Monkey Homeostasis
Sea Monkeys, or brine shrimp (of the Artemia Genus) are very small organisms that live in marine environments. However, you won't find them in the ocean but rather in inland saltwater lakes. A unique characteristic of brine shrimp allows them to produce eggs, or cysts, that can remain dormant for long periods of time. As a result they are commonly used in the aquarium hobby as a food source for other organisms as well as to test toxicity levels.
Structures & Processes
I can model how multicellular organisms have a hierarchical structural organization, in which systems made up of numerous parts and is itself a component of the next hierarchical level. LS1-2
I can plan and conduct an investigation to provide evidence that feedback mechanisms maintain homeostasis. LS1-3
